POSITION TITLE: Instructional Lead Teacher

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Improves instruction by providing
assistance to teachers in developing effective teaching
strategies for all students. Acts as the liaison between
the local schools and Curriculum and Instruction personnel
and promotes technology integration into the curriculum.
REQUIREMENTS:
1) Educational Level: Master's Degree Preferred
2) Certification/License Required: Georgia Certification
3) Physical Activities: Routine physical activities
that are required to fulfill job responsibilities
4) Proficient Skills: Written and oral communication,
leadership, organization, interpersonal skills, word
processing, data based management, and instructional
technology integration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Demonstrates prompt and regular
attendance.
2. Provides assistance to teachers in classroom organization,
management, and instructional strategies.
3. Provides support to teachers through visitation and
demonstration teaching.
4. Facilitates the delivery of programs and services
intended to maximize the success opportunities for all
learners.
5. Provides assistance to teachers in the implementation
of the instructional components of the curriculum.
6. Provides assistance to teachers in their efforts
to successfully integrate technology into the curriculum.
7. Conducts model teaching in classrooms to model the
integration of technology with instruction.
8. Works with the Technology Integration Specialist
to facilitate the use of technology integration into
the curriculum.
9. Plans, conducts, implements, and evaluates school-wide
activities related to instructional support.
10. Implements the Teacher Led Collaboration process
in order to assist classroom teachers with struggling
learners.
11. Serves on the Student Support Team committee along
with other school personnel.
12. Serves as the contact person for 504 plans.
13. Assists in School Improvement planning and implementation
process.
14. Works with local school subject area contacts/coordinators
and department heads as needed to assist with instructional
planning.
15. Helps teachers utilize state, county and local test
data to improve instruction.
16. Works cooperatively with the local school staff
and central office personnel to provide “Best
Practices” for classroom teachers.
17. Stays knowledgeable of research-based teaching/learning
strategies and materials.
18. Participates in professional growth to keep abreast
of current research, Best Practices and emerging technologies.
19. Attends training sessions, as necessary to stay
current with hardware and software utilized in the school.
20. Provides a link between local school staff and the
Curriculum Supervisors in areas related to instruction
and curriculum.
21. Demonstrates the ability to maintain a positive
professional working relationship with others.
22. Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate
administrator.
